Back to back with Justine & The Victorian Punks. DFA reissues the long out-of-print avant-disco treasure from legendary producer Peter Gordon’s Justine and the Victorian Punks-a collaborative project with Tunisian-born, French national visual artist Colette. Justine & The Victorian Punks released the ‘Beautiful Dreamer’/'Still You’ twelve-inch, exploring a new sound that Justine described as “disco-punk.” The two songs were recorded one night at Electric Lady Studios with Jay Burnett. The twelve-inch was originally released in 1979 on the aptly titled Colette is Dead imprint. ‘Still You’ is a romanticized cover version of Lucio Battisti’s ‘Ancora Tu’. Masterpiece.
